When you see a map, you may scroll it to your town by recognizing some landmark such as village pond. Satellite image will show you structures of your town. Please note that top of the page is North. The red arrow points to Mecca, the Qibla. Once you locate your town, compare position of your house or place in relation to a near by road. This will help you facing the Qibla.

ولكن مسألة جنوب شرق فعلا غريبة على اللي ما عنده علم
الظاهر انه العلماء عندهم حسابات ما نعرفها. أحسن شي نتبع اللي يقوله العلماء (شمال شرق، بدل جنوب شرق)

North Pole is a point from where every direction is south; there is no East or West from there. If you take a globe and stretch a thread from Alaska to Makkah, you will see that the thread passes through or close by North Pole. So, the Qiblah from Alaska will be towards North.

أسهل طريقة لمعرفة القبلة في امريكا هي:
خذلك يسار بزاوية 30 درجة من الجهة التي تشرق منها الشمس
يعني حدد مكان شروق الشمس و لف شوي يسار و فرش سجادك و صلي
